Thanks for a Successful Grand Reopening
We would like to give special thanks to everyone who celebrated with us during our “Celebrate Life, Eat Well” Grand Re-Opening event October 6th-11th. We wanted to highlight all of the exciting changes taking place at Acropolis including our new décor, menu and staff members.Our week-long event featured a 4 course Mediterranean family meal that included many favorites such as the hummus and tomato bruschetta with pita chips, a Greek salad, a Souvlaki Sampling Plate with Gyro, Chicken, Lamb and Melazana and finished with honey sweetened pumpkin cream cheese filled dough puffs.
We were very pleased with the “Wines of the Mediterranean” tasting event that we held on our patio on a gorgeous fall evening. The menu included: Tomato and Feta Tartelette, Lamb Kefethes, Crostini and AntiPasto Bar, Ouzo Cured Salmon, Hortapita, Banana Bougatsa and Fall Honey Crisp Apple Baklava. Our Chef paired these delicious appetizers with eight Greek wines that were really well received by the attendees. The samplings offered traditional favorites as well as unique finds. The wine menu consisted of Gai Notios, Retsina Boutari, Mercouri Estate Foloi, Red Stag Spiropoulous, Harlaftis Argilos, Kretikos Boutari, Naoussa Boutari and Mavrodaphne Dessert wine. From the food and wine to the relaxed atmosphere, guests were able to enjoy a night in the Mediterranean from the comfort of Chattanooga.
The week-long celebration capped off with a lovely fall patio party. Guests in the bar area could enjoy the football games playing on the 2 big screen TV’s while the chefs were hosting cooking demonstrations on the patio. Onlookers were able to learn the secrets behind a few of their favorite dishes as well as sample the culinary creations.
